AdminBroken TuskDec-02-2015 9:29 AMWith news that the script for Predator 4 has been completed, I'm curious to know if everyone thinks that predator 4 should ignore Predators as canon? Surely the new film takes place well before the events of Predators but should the two have any connection at all? Let me know your thoughts below...

MemberSuper PredatorDec-03-2015 12:33 PMWhile Predators was thin on the ground regarding any truly original content - being mostly a tribute to the first movie, showing a different "tribe" of Predators whom hunt in ways that break the traditions of the more classical Predators reminds me of the Hish clan of Predators from the Dark Horse comics, and could, if handled right, be used to expand upon the franchises universe.

Let us expunge Predators from our minds. The intentions were good and noble, but the execution was not worthy.
The new race/species just didn't work for me for two main reasons: it diminished the original Predator race; and the tribalism seemed to dumb down what should be a complex and superiorly advanced alien civilization.
But I appreciate this is not the forum to pour scorn on Predators (I'll save my diatribe about how difficult it is to buy into the idea that a fat, schizophrenic manages to dodge super Predators for several "seasons"), so I'll just repeat that I think it should be disregarded as canon -- which, by the way, we should also do if Predator 4 sucks too.
