Funniest scene in the predator (spoilers)

StaffAlien HunterSep-15-2018 5:56 PMI saw the predator today, and I have mixed feelings about it. There are things I like about it, but I eventually gave the film a 5/10. I'm planning on seeing it again.
One aspect of the film that I really didn't like is that the characters were constantly joking in serious situations, and a lot of the jokes weren't even funny to me. Everyone in the theatre barely made a sound.
There's one scene in the film that I think is funny. But I don't think it was intentional. So when the group was fighting the ultimate predator in the forest at night, at one point the bio mask fell on the ground, locked on the ultimate pred. and fired at him, sending him backward in the trap where they set the explosion. The ult.pred survived but was covered in fire and was standing and waving like an idiot, seemingly trying to get rid of the fire, and then the screaming Tourette guy jumped on him regardless of the fire and started stabbing him in the head while ult. pred was still waving with his arms and spinning.
Also, that Iron man/transformer abomination at the end...

MemberElder PredatorSep-15-2018 6:09 PMInteresting. The crowd around me in the cinema were in stitches the whole film. There was a surprising amount of vocal reactions from the audience..... but maybe that say's more about us Australian's than the actual film itself though.....hmmm
Yeah, that reveal at the end. Just no. nope.

MemberCity HunterSep-15-2018 6:53 PMSame thoughts about the jokes here. Bad jokes from "pre-wokeness grade-schoolers who never shut up."
This one is much funnier:
"He survived, he’s now in Disneyland in Orlando, and no way am I going back there. How did he end up in Disneyland? I saw him in Disneyland, Jesus Christ!"

MemberSuper PredatorSep-15-2018 7:03 PMWell, I like the Aussie sense of humor. Pretty dry wit like England but with more attitude and no fear of outright silliness. If The Australians like Predator, I feel confident!
As far as the comedic value in the clip above, to me it comes from a lone intelligent caged creature scaring the shit out of a bunch of "tough guys" safely behind plexiglass- kind of like keyboard warriors. Kind of makes one wonder who was trolling whom...

MemberCity HunterSep-15-2018 7:32 PMWell, the clip above is the funny version of the Loonies vs. Gigantic Predator. And the believable one too.
I'm not sure if you prefer jokes like this:
“How do you circumcise a homeless man? Kick your mother in the chin!” Coyle yells at Baxley at one point. A few minutes later, he follows that up with, “If your mom’s vagina were a video game, it’d be rated ‘E for Everyone’!” Great work."
That's from The Predator.
What's not to love here?
Enjoy it wholeheartedly.

MemberSuper PredatorSep-15-2018 7:37 PMIt also depends on context.
There is an old saying for what it's worth- "Joke 'em if they can't take a f%^k and f%^k 'em if they can't take a joke."

MemberCity HunterSep-15-2018 7:51 PMExactly. Why should I care?
I feel cheated somehow, I was expecting a different movie.
But I don't want to spoil the pleasure for others, so I stop for now.
